Jared is 16 years old. He enjoys playing the guitar and trumpet, and has recently begun learning the violin. He teaches a Bible lesson in Japanese each month for the English ministry at church. He likes to play soccer with kids in the park and jump rope. He is discovering joy in many subjects in school this year, including logic and debate. Jared has an outgoing personality, and really enjoys being able to meet people here in Japan.
Enoch is 14 years old. His hobbies include legos, folding origami, and taking things apart. His favorite subjects are geography, science, and now, Japanese. He can already write several hundred kanji (Chinese characters used in Japanese writing), and he diligently takes notes in church. He enjoys serving the Lord in Japan and is doing well learning the piano. He is also experimenting growing some vegetables this year.
Charity is 13 years old. She enjoys reading and writing letters to her friends. She is learning to play the violin, and played her first solo in church at Christmas! She is thrilled that this school year includes so much writing, and she loves to create sentences and write about historical figures. Charity is doing well in Japanese, and she enjoys speaking it especially when playing with the little kids at church.
Lydia is 11 years old. She enjoys reading and writing about animals of all kinds, especially bunnies. She is learning her Japanese Bible verses every week in Sunday School, and is doing well memorizing vocabulary. Lydia is the family comedian, and often has us all laughing. She is especially enjoying playing with and holding the new babies at church.
