The Gardner Children

Jared is 17 years old. He enjoys playing the guitar and trumpet, and has recently begun learning the violin. He teaches a Bible lesson in Japanese each month for the English ministry at church and helps out with translation at church services when needed. He likes to play basketball with  kids in the park and is attending the Bible College here as an auditing student while he finishes up his junior year of homeschool. Jared has an outgoing personality, and really enjoys being able to meet people and share the gospel here in Japan. 

Enoch is 15 years old. His hobbies include legos,  folding origami, and taking things apart. He is also experimenting growing some vegetables this year. His favorite subjects are geography, science, and Japanese. He can already write over a thousand kanji, and he diligently takes notes in church. He has also begun teaching a Bible lesson in Japanese regularly for the English ministry here. He started playing guitar for the church services last year, and continues to learn the piano. He enjoys serving the Lord in Japan.

Charity is 13 years old. She enjoys reading long books and writing letters to her many pen pals and friends in America. She plays violin for church services every week, and is doing well learning the piano too. She just started junior high school this year, and continues to love essay writing and math. Charity is doing well in Japanese, and she enjoys speaking it especially when playing with the little kids at church. She also helps out with the English ministry reading a story to the children in English, and leading Bible songs.

Lydia is 12 years old. She enjoys reading and writing about animals of all kinds, this year, especially bugs. She is learning her Japanese Bible verses every week in Sunday School, and is doing well memorizing vocabulary. Lydia is the family comedian, and often has us all laughing. She is especially enjoying playing with and holding the new babies at church. She received a flute for her birthday and is practicing it so she can play in church one day.
